Our latest bus went into service on 12 May 2007. GX07FJO is a 2.4-litre Ford Transit with bodywork by Chassis Developments of Fareham, our third in succession from this company.
The bus is our tenth since services were started in 1980. It has a number of new features, notably an extending and retracting step that will make boarding and alighting much easier for our passengers, many of whom are elderly.

After many years without
changes, a revised timetable was
introduced on Monday 5th September 2005. A summary of the changes is
set out below:-
- Service 12 (Pebsham Lane) – was re-routed in Pebsham to serve Seabourne Road, Haslam Crescent and Third Avenue. It was also re-routed in the Chantry area to serve St Peter’s Crescent and Church Vale Road. Frequency remains at four services per day;
- Service 13 (Cooden Beach) – was re-routed to serve Cooden Sea Road, Ashcombe Drive, Saltdean Way and Westcourt Drive. Frequency was reduced to three journeys per day as a result of relatively light passenger loadings on this route;
- Service 14 (Sutton Place) – Frequency was increased to five journeys per day to cater for increasing passenger loadings on this route.
